Wispr raises $30M Series A to remove friction from everyday communication

What does Wispr do?

Wispr develops Flow, an AI voice app for iOS and desktop that replaces traditional typing by editing speech in real-time—removing filler words, auto-formatting, and turning spoken ideas into clear text, with the goal of easing everyday communication.

How much did they raise?

The company raised $30M in Series A funding, led by Menlo Ventures with participation from Evan Sharp, Henry Ward, NEA, 8VC, and Neo, bringing its total funding to $56M.

What are their plans for the money?

Wispr intends to use the funds to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams, broaden its product to support platforms like Android, cater to enterprise and multi-user needs, and deepen integration and personalization to further streamline digital communication.

What have they achieved so far?

Already, the company has made significant progress with the launch of Flow for iOS, which has been well received for its ability to reduce daily typing time and remove the friction in thought-to-text conversion.
